Last House Standing
The cure is almost ready. The horde won't wait.
Dr. Ferrán has isolated the strain from patient zero, and her lab is in the last house still standing. The generators are loud, and the noise draws the dead in waves. Your job is to hold the line until she finishes the formula.
HOW IT PLAYS
• Your cursor is your weapon. Sweep it over the horde: it hits everything inside its square in steady pulses. Use it to pick up the coins dropped by fallen zombies, too, before they vanish.
• Survivors fight with you. Recruit them, and they shoot from behind sandbags around the house.
• Short, intense runs. Each run is a rush of overlapping waves. When the house falls, spend your coins in a permanent upgrade tree and go again, stronger.
• Build your defense. Barbed wire, a rooftop mortar, barricades, a nail gun to patch the walls… Every branch changes how you play.
IN THIS DEMO
• 15 waves, including three bosses: The Trucker, The Matriarch and The Riot Cop.
• Runners, brutes, construction workers in hard hats, bloaters that burst, spitters that attack from afar, and more.
• A big chunk of the upgrade tree, plus achievements and the Zombiary, a bestiary that fills up as you kill.
• 18 languages.
• Progress saves in your browser.
The full game adds more waves, more bosses, more defenses and much more.

Really fun and nice upgrade pacing so there is always stuff to get.
One note: at some point my defenders range is killing zombies off-screen and I feel I miss out on coins. Maybe those coins could move to inside the screen boundary.
Fixed! In that case coins will spawn at the edge of the screen.
Thanks for playing and for your feedback!
That was fun, though a shame it's short. I'm surprised how much money it takes to max out the 20 barb wire upgrade despite it not doing much throughout most of the game (or at least for me it doesn't feel like it do much). also, I didn't know there was a ton of upgrade to defense, I barely bought any and focused completely on offense and only once I was done and buying off the rest of the upgrade that I noticed there's a ton of defense upgrades XD
Hi! Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Since you have 20 barbed wires, you should be able to complete it with less money. I'll tweak those numbers.
They don't make much of a difference in the demo, since you can probably beat it with survivors and a strong mouse, but after those 15 waves (the easier ones), the full game has more waves and stronger bosses, so you'll need all the help you can get :-)
Thanks for playing!
Fun little game, shame it was so short but hey, it's a demo it's to be expected.
One very minor issue is that I didn't get the achievement pop-up for killing the Matriarch until I killed her the second time. Perhaps something to do with the chat message at that moment?
I think I found the issue. The Matriarch explodes if she reaches the house, but that doesn't count as "killing" her. This might happen if your build isn't strong enough, which would explain why you managed to kill her on a second run, probably with a stronger build, and got the achievement.
In any case, I'm adding a message to make this clearer. While I'm at it, I'm also separating Dr. Ferrán's dialogue to make it easier to follow.
Thanks for the feedback!
To me the zombie is not really clear to see
Absolutely love construction zombie love the effect sound of knocking off the helmet
Thanks for playing! I'm glad you like those details. We added little touches like zombie parts flying off during explosions to make things feel more "real."
I'm not sure what you mean by the issue with seeing the zombies. Is it a problem with the zoom or the contrast? We have some color accessibility settings on our backlog, but unfortunately we haven't had time to implement them yet.
Could you describe the problem in a bit more detail? Thanks!
very good
